    Our music theory program partially follows the RCM (Royal Conservatory of Music). We incorporate, as part of our studies, supplementary material that further challenges our students giving them a better understanding and wider spectrum of music theory, resulting in higher exam marks.

    Students have the opportunity to participate in 2-3 of our recitals throughout the school year. You also get to compete in our local music festival held every year.

    Video library content is a supplementary material to your music lessons. Members can access the video library as part of their lesson.

Private Music Lesson FAQ

  • As any parent can tell you, each child is different. Some children mature and develop more quickly than others. We have success teaching piano to kids as young as 4. We recommend the age of 6+ to begin music theory and songwriting. These are only suggestions based on our years of experience educating various age groups.

    We encourage you to book a lesson to see if your child is ready to get the most out of their private lessons.

  • Yes! We have regularly scheduled recitals and showcases each year. Our students also perform at Music Festivals and online video performance contests.

  • Our academy is at downtown, Fort McMurray. We are located in the Keyano College Theatre and Arts building.

  • There truly is not a "one size fits all" answer for this question. Knowing how to play an instrument can be defined in several ways, like the ability to play a song, name notes, or read music. Students who develop the strongest musical skills are committed to their musical journeys. The longer the journey, the higher the level of skill.

  • We offer 30-minute, 45-minute and 60-minute lesson plans at the studio. Of course practice time at home is necessary for your musical growth. We recommend tripling the amount of time spent in lesson on at home practice or 15-20 minutes per day for consistent enjoyment and improvement.

  • Yes, it certainly helps. Our academy provides budget-friendly option plan for purchasing a piano/keyboard. Sometimes they might want to try it out to see if it's something they love, but having an instrument at home will help them develop further and allow them to show you how amazing they're doing.

  • If you sign up on the day of your free trial lesson we will waive the $50 registration fee!
