Private Lessons Membership Tuition
Membership tuition is paid monthly and covers weekly lessons (Including months that have 5 lessons).
Students receive 43 lessons per year no matter what day of the week enrolled. See our calendar for studio closures.

We are a family owned and operated music studio in the Fort McMurray community. As a member of Miralles Music you have exclusive privilege to the following service.
Three (3) recital opportunities per year and additional performance opportunities.
Membership guarantees one weekly lesson with a teacher/time of your choice.
Monthly tuition is independent of the number of weekly lessons in a given month. You pay the same monthly fee even when there are five (5) lessons.
Long term commitment available. Our Membership Program is primarily on a monthly basis as well as half-a-year and year long basis.
Much more flexible make-up policy than any other music school.

LESSON PAYMENT, CANCELLATION AND MAKEUP POLICIES

Tuition is a flat monthly fee. Most months have four (4) or five (5) lessons, and on rare occasions, three (3) lessons when in observance of major national holidays.
Membership guarantees a regular weekly lesson time with your teacher.
Tuition payments are billed monthly 15 days in advance of the following month, and are due by the 15th of the current month.
Membership tuition is billed automatically to your debit or credit card 3 days prior to the 15th of the following month.
All payments are automated using recurring Debit Billing or Credit Card billing. Billing can be set up by logging into our website at mirallesmusic.com/registration or by receiving an email from us at info@mirallesmusic.com.
Credit card payment instantly reserves enrollment, otherwise your space is not reserved until payment is received.
A $10 late fee will be charged for payment received after the 15th of each month.
Lesson spots may be forfeited if tuition is over 2 weeks late. Since all payments are automated, lateness occurs when a payment is declined. Notification of a declined payment will be sent and billing information must be updated promptly through the Miralles Music web portal.
Bi-weekly and partial month tuition will be adjusted or prorated.
Credit card payments are accepted online through Stripe secure SSL server.
Direct Debit billing is accepted online through GoCardless.
No refunds, credits or discounts will be given once tuition is paid.
Students are responsible for additional costs associated with educational materials, music books, instrument rentals, accessories, etc…

Students are expected to be punctual to their weekly lessons.
Students who are late for a lesson cannot be guaranteed their full lesson time.
Students more than 5 minutes late for their lesson will not get the full allotted lesson time. Since lessons are scheduled back-to-back, lessons will end at the time the next student’s lesson is scheduled to begin.
If your lesson starts late because the instructor’s schedule is running behind, you WILL receive your full lesson or a makeup lesson.

Missed Lessons
NO tuition credit or refund will be provided for missed lessons.
Makeup lesson absence passes can be used when a lesson is cancelled with at least 24-hour advance notice by emailing info@mirallesmusic.com, calling 587-646-6570 or by requesting a cancellation online.
PLEASE DO NOT TEXT, CALL or EMAIL YOUR TEACHER – Miralles Music administration must have a record of a cancellation for you to receive a makeup credit.
If a student cancels with at least 24-hour notice, a makeup can be scheduled in an open time slot through the Miralles Music scheduling portal or by contacting Miralles Music staff.
Cancellations made with less than 24-hour notice will not qualify for a makeup lesson credit (this includes being sick the day of a scheduled lesson) and the lesson will be forfeited.
If there is no in-person makeup time slot available, your teacher will schedule a virtual lesson or upload a curated lesson and practice plan to your student profile. (Curated lessons include video lessons, music files, courses, helpful links and other assignments and are considered a makeup lesson)
If there are no makeup times available with your teacher, you will either receive a video lesson or schedule with an a avilable Miralles Music teacher.
Makeup lessons cannot be rescheduled. Any other reason will be up to the teacher’s discretion.
Make-up Absence Passes:
Students/Parents now have only 7 Absence Passes throughout the year, with 3 passes to be used in Fall quarter(Sept-Dec), 2 passes to be used in Winter quarter(Jan-Mar), and 2 passes to be used in Spring quarter(Apr-Jun).
Make-up absence passes now require 24-hour notice to take effect. Students/parents who notify within 24 hours, or did not notify their teacher cannot reschedule their lessons.
Limit of 1-usage/month for make-up absence passes. Those who pass over the usage will not qualify for make-up lessons.
Absence Passes have no cash value and cannot be used past the expiration of a lesson membership.
Students with signs of sickness and ill health are given 2 alternatives:
a) Lessons will be moved to online-Zoom and will be carried out at their regular lesson time.
b) Teacher will provide a Video make-up lesson during the student's lesson time. The video will be available to access for students in their portal by the end of the day.
c) Students can use their make-up absence passes. Rules 1) to 3) still applies to the absence passes, so use them wisely.
For any other emergencies, make-up lessons will be at the teacher’s discretion.

Student-sibling discount:
For each ADDITIONAL student, $15 off of the monthly payment on the 2nd student enrollee. $35 off the monthly rate on the 3rd student enrollee.
Limited-time offer: $50 Registration Fee waived for Free Trial Attendees (as of 11/11/2022)
Those who attended their free trial lesson with the Miralles Music Academy will be excluded from paying a $50 Registration fee for each student. This offer only lasts within 3 days after attending free trial lesson.

The studio is closed between Christmas Eve and New Years Day, Spring Break (the week before Easter), Memorial Day, July 4th (Independence Day), Labor Day, Halloween and Thanksgiving.
We do not follow the school calendar for days off (M.L.K. Day, Columbus Day, Presidents Day, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, etc…)
Your teacher may choose to schedule makeup lessons on days that the studio is closed for holidays and breaks.
In the event of an inclement weather cancellation, you will be notified of a studio closure. Lessons cancelled due to inclement weather will be held virtually or a curated lesson and practice plan to their account.
We do not follow the school districts for inclement weather cancellations.

You may put a membership on “Summer Hold” for up to two (2) months with a 14-day advanced email notice before the 1st lesson of the month.
Your lesson time and teacher will be reserved only by pre-paying tuition for the month following a Summer hold (latest resume date is September 1st).
While on Summer hold, members may purchase individual lesson passes.

Membership may be cancelled by the 15th day of the month by submitting our online cancellation form.
Cancellation will be effective as of the month next tuition is due. You may withdraw the cancellation at any time before it takes effect, but your teacher and/or time slot can not be guaranteed.
Active membership is mandatory to participate in our events and recitals.
All makeup lesson credit(s) on your account expire after 30 days from cancellation effective date.
Membership is not transferable.
Miralles Music & Studios does not provide tuition refund under any circumstances.
Miralles Music & Studios reserves the right to terminate membership, in which case prorated tuition will be refunded.

Miralles Music Academy is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students.

You assume all risk of injury or harm to the child(ren) or adult(s) associated with participation in musical activities at Miralles Music & Studios and agree to release, indemnify, defend and forever discharge Miralles Music & Studios and its officers and staff from all liability, claims, demands, damages, costs, and expenses in the unlikely event of injury sustained by your child(ren) or adult student during the course or as a result of their participation in related musical activities.

Unless requested in writing, Miralles Music & Studios is granted permission to take photographs/videos of the students to use in brochures, websites, posters, advertisements, and other promotional materials Miralles Music & Studios creates. Permission is also hereby granted for Miralles Music & Studios to copyright such photographs in its name.

Miralles Studios, LLC reserves the right to refuse service to any person(s) at any time.

We have the right to update the terms and conditions and we will keep them on our website page. We will keep you up to date on our policy here anytime

You may decide to change teacher or instrument with a 14-day advance notice before the 1st of the month.
If your teacher is unable to teach a lesson, a substitute teacher will be arranged.
Regular lesson cancellation policy applies to substitute teachers. No Make-up Credit is issued for last minute substitutions.
If your teacher becomes unavailable for regular lessons, you will be provided a new teacher with similar teaching style, or the opportunity to choose a new teacher.

No refunds for purchases on 6-month term, or full year term Lessons.
Your teacher can choose to terminate lessons whether they see fit.
Full year tuition guarantees you 11 months of lessons. No lessons during August.
Cancellation of monthly tuition will take in effect once you provide a notice before the 15th of the month you plan to cancel. You will then consume the remaining lessons for that month.
Teachers have the right to refuse lessons if lessons are not paid.
No lessons during Holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas break, Spring break, and Canada Day.
Studio will be closed during the month of August. No lessons will occur, but will resume the folowing month, September.

Our teachers reserve time on their schedules, plan for your lessons, and invest in the long-term development of each student. To provide regular, quality lessons, the following policies need to be observed.
